Why do we favor insurance companies?

They are unnecessary for profit companies inserted in the monetary flow between the government and health care providers.

If they were not there the huge profits they extract could lower health care costs.

They are allowed to make huge profits.

They are allowed to arbitrary and unfair paying claim.
